THE DUNGEON BIG BAND – “ELLA”

Bringing together 17 professional Hunter Valley-bred musicians, the Dungeon Big Band was formed in mid 2004, with its premiere concert at Newcastle venue, Dungeon Jazz.

The Dungeon Big Band has gone on to headline at festivals, concerts and balls throughout the region including performances for Newcastle & Hunter Jazz Club, ABC Sunday Live, Newcastle University Choir, Manning Valley Arts Festival, Newcastle Grammar, Nelson Bay Rotary Club, The Leukaemia Foundation and the Newcastle Club, and in such venues as The Newcastle University Conservatorium, Newcastle University Great Hall, Newcastle City Hall, Lake Macquarie Performing Arts Centre, The Newcastle and Hunter Jazz Club and The Luna Park Crystal Palace in Sydney.

2017 celebrates Ella Fitzgerald’s 100th anniversary – this concert “Ella” will feature Heather Price singing some of Ella’s iconic songs from throughout Ella’s career, including Fascinatin’ Rhythm, Caravan, Too Darn Hot.
