Amanda Neale has been one of Newcastle’s leading accompanists and piano teachers for over 30 years. She is highly sought after as an accompanist by professional musicians and students of all instruments and levels, and runs a successful private music studio in Charlestown where she teaches piano and theory. As an accompanist, Amanda is in frequent demand for HSC and AMEB music examinations, Bachelor of Music and Advanced Diploma recitals, auditions, eisteddfods, studio concerts and workshops. She has held official roles as an accompanist with the Waratah Girls Choir, including touring internationally with them to England and Wales, and on staff at the University of Newcastle Conservatorium.
Amanda regularly rehearses and performs with the Hunter Singers and has been involved with master classes led by Deborah Humble and Cameron Menzies. Also a qualified primary teacher, Amanda teaches casually in a number of local schools. She is very excited to be involved with the Newcastle Festival of Music in 2018.
